At Centtric, we have the job for you: CCM Developer
CCM stands for “Customer Communications Management” and describes the software solution that businesses use to create highly personalized customer ‘documents’ – in multiple types of output channels. Businesses use CCM software to engage customers both in print, digitally, and by mobile and social media. Some examples of CCM software are HP Extreme’s Dialogue and GMC PrintNet. Centtric is the North American representative for Scriptura, brilliantly designed software from Inventive Designers in Antwerp, Belgium.
Companies everywhere are seeking better ways to use their customer data to optimize the impact from every communication, and to go beyond personalization. Companies want to choose “what, when and how they communicate to customers, be it by paper or email, or facebook or twitter.
But not all companies are there yet. Every time you get a communication from a company you do business with, you just know there has to be a way to turn that customer communication into a tool for building customer loyalty – and Scriptura is that tool.
As a CCM developer at Centtric you will develop CCM solutions using both Scriptura software and by creating custom code. You bring the following skills & interests:

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- Degree in either:
- Computer Science, and you took some marketing, or graphic arts courses, or
- Marketing, communications or graphic arts, and you took some computer science courses
Experience
- Two or more of the following:
- 2+ years of software development experience, or
- 2+ years professional graphic design experience, or
- 2+ years web design or related experience
- 2+ years of systems development methodologies
- One, or more, of the following:
- Experience with printed document design, or
- Experience with creation of direct marketing materials, or
- Experience with ‘workflow’ business applications
Assets:
The more of the following assets that you bring, the more likely the job will appeal to you, and you to us:
- Your are proficient with:
- XML, HTML, CSS
- JavaScript and PHP
- One, or more of InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver
- You have experience with:
- Java Development
- Eclipse based user interface tools is an asset

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Reports to the Software Development Manager. May also report to a Project Manager when working on large projects.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
- Develop high complexity, personalized documents, with an eye for elegant, modular design
- Work with data in XML format, and data from relational databases that feeds these personalized documents
- Create electronic marketing pieces including emails, PDF documents and more
- Design document workflows that enable multi-channel communications
- Performing work in a manner which leads to increased product sales while raising the bar creatively
- Assist the Software Architect, Development Manager or Business Analyst with solution design and work estimating
- Perform peer reviews with other team members
- Follow processes defined by Centtric and it’s customers: development process, configuration management, release management
- Seek opportunities to improve reuse and standardization
- Approach all tasks with security, flexibility and future maintenance as a priority
- Attend training to keep up with technology changes and innovations
- Deliver regular reports to management regarding timelines and delivery
- Be available outside regular working hours, to assist in resolving incidents
- Work with release manager to create, document and deploy new template and application versions
- Maintain change logs and documentation
